Spam
Off!
If you
are interested in knowing what you can do about annoying "spam" or
UCE (unsolicited commercial email) then this page is for you.
#1
Rule:
DON'T EVER respond to a spammer's "to
be removed, email..." that is just how slime ball spammers
confirm you're address is a functional one and you will only receive
more UCE as the spammer shares your now-confirmed good address with
other bottomfeeders. Never hit "reply" to a spammer, if
they have any chops to speak of, the address/ports will be forged.
#2
Rule:
Learn how to interpret internet headers to track them down, or sign
up with SpamCop
and let them do the work.
#3
Rule:
Don't put you're email address on your website,
spammers have software that goes out and harvests email address
from personal sites (my address on the home page
is a SpamCop address so that's different than a home address).
#4
Rule:
Don't be fooled by these mutants quoting "Bill
1618, Title 3, Section 301" I have yet to see any spam
that follows Section 301 correctly....why?....obvious, because they
would be traceable and their deception would come to an end. Oh
yea, and besides, 1618 isn't even law..."Status:
Passed Senate, died in conference, (which means the bill is not
law, despite what spammer 'disclaimers' say)." Never trust
a spammer, just keep reporting them.
Educational
and FAQ.
This
is what goes on in the dark and putrid minds of the Spammer, so
get your
"chops" up and go on the hunt.
